In harried moments, it's certainly easy to lose sight of the small things. Today, with the fall of a light, cleansing rain, we slowed down. The drops stopped, and I took my trusty SLR to find what I maybe hadn't noticed.
Like these rose hip pods from last year, in a stray vase
or the chives starting to bud and flower, ready for the herb frittate for next week's guests
The most over-photographed view in Piemonte, the one from my hill, with the storm moving out
The fig leaves shouting out their arrival in florescent yellow against the lush green backdrop

Beautiful photos Diana.
It would be easy to turn the blue flower into an abstract, the colour values are perfect.
Lovely photos Diana.
Hello Bella Diana,
We are on the very same wave-length here.
Lovely...
Rain can help to slow down and take pictures, yours are really beautiful!
These are so lush and yummy! OK, I know I use yummy in a funny way, but they are! Just Beautiful.
Ciao Diana, lovely photos & lovely rain. The shot of the wild hyacinth is especially beautiful.
Your over-photographed view is beautiful, even with the storm coming.
Gorgeous. Thanks for letting us luxuriate with you.
(p.s. As far as the tradesmen are concerned: One little Xanax seems a paltry defense against their many ploys!!) : )
Cara Diana,
D'accordo! There is nothing like spring wonders! Workers' turmoil washed away. The essence of life captured by your lens. Stunning photo, cara! Enjoy your weekend! Bacione, Ingrid in Umbria
This is one of the most beautiful of your posts, words and photos both.
