Mom and me, 1958
Last week, I got the news that my mom is cancer free, great news since she had a mastectomy in 2008.
What better news is there than when you find the people in your life who have been ill are doing really well?
I am so grateful to my mother for many things. First of all, she has a very positive attitude, always has. And she is still a strong lady at the young age of 83. She smiles easily. She is a source of strength for me. There are many things I can still learn from her. And, she has great, wrinkle free skin --which I might have inherited (well, my dad had great skin too).
And I am a lucky girl to still have my mother on earth with me.
Absolutely!
If you have something to be grateful for, and we all do, leave a comment here and tell us about it, or post it on your blog and link back to Creative Structures -- and be part of the Gratitude Friday Club. A little thanks goes a long way.

True. So lucky. GREAT news.
WONDERFUL. This must be the best news you've had in a while. And loooove the photo.
I'm grateful that my parents just had a week in California with their granddaughters -- time that makes them happier than anything in the world. And that I had a lovely outing this week with some blogger friends on a beautiful evening along the Seine!
So happy for you and yout Mom Diana!
Yes, I agree, Mom's are great! I am grateful that my Mom is my best friend and she lives close so we can go shopping or just hang out any time we want!....and grateful that she and my husband get along great too!
Yay! Awesome news.
What wonderful news! I was born in 1959 so your photo is very familiar...love your mom's outfit! I am grateful for a delightful almost 10-year old niece who took her first solo airplane journey to visit a friend 2000 miles away...and came home safe and sound. I am very grateful for a single moment on Wednesday that brought such peace and perspective to my life...
I love your post about your Mom and the photo.
That is such good news - something to really be thankful for.
That's great news. I love the photo. My mum is also a breast cancer survivor.

That's wonderful news. The photo is beautiful. Moms rock!
I'm grateful that my mom and dad are still with me too... dad celebrated his 85th birthday today, and they just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Amazing.
The photo is precious.

For a belated birthday gift, a girlfriend gave me a Gratitude Journal. I love writing a few words every day...Just having a few dated lines makes it easy to summarize and gives me ideas for Gratitude Friday.
I love seeing everyone else's GFs. Diana, this was such a good idea. I'm grateful you started it!
Wonderful news!! Love that photo :)
Hi Diana That is fantastic news for everyone.
I am so grateful for lots, especially being given the opportunity of visit Paris , in a wonderful apartment, to have brilliant weather, but most importantly to share it with my fantastic blogger friends, who are now not just online friends but Friends!!!...:-)
Yes we had a brilliant evening on the Seine, and Kim B was with us..which was so brilliant as she had to work other days, so it worked out well. It was great to meet up with her again! :-)
